How do a disinfection arch and a drive-thru decontamination basin work?

Functioning of a decontamination gate (DSS) and drive-thru disinfection bath (DSD)

Disinfection arch

The vehicle drives up and is detected by either a photo sensor; metal detection or pressure sensor.

In a stainless steel casing, the pump starts and automatically draws water from a tank or water pipes. The water goes through a dosing system, which automatically draws product from a tank. The dosing system is easy to regulate from 0.4% to 4% product.

The decontamination product can be handily stored in the stainless steel controls and dosing cabinet.

The spray arch can be used in one-way or optionally two-way traffic.

The arch atomises the disinfection product, and in this way the vehicle is disinfected on the sides, top and bottom. 6 spray nozzles are integrated into the access thresholds and spray in different corners in order to disinfect the chassis; wheels and wheel arches.

The access thresholds ensure that the truck slows down and thus has the time to be optimally disinfected.

As soon as the sensors no longer detect a vehicle, the pump stops working.

By using nozzles with non-return valves, the spray arch comes immediately up to pressure and the arch does not empty out after use. This ensures that the vehicle does not have to wait before driving through the disinfection arch and minimises waste of water and product.

Disinfection drive-thru bath

If the disinfection tunnel is combined with a drive-through disinfection bath or basin; ensures a complete disinfection of the wheel profile through a full wheel rotation of the tyre. The spray nozzles for the bottom are integrated into the ramp profile of the decontamination bath.

The decontamination basin for lorries, tractors or cars has integrated grids that the dirt can fall through. This bath can be automatically topped up with an optional float valve system.

These drive-through basins capture a large share of the residual water from the tubular spray line and the bath is easy to clean by opening a stopcock with hose leading to a drain.

All RinDis systems are delivered "plug and play" and can be installed for temporary or long-term use.
